Japan Patent Office participates as partner in online platform WIPO GREEN

Encouraging green tech

The Japan Patent Office (JPO) has announced that it has participated as a partner in the online platform 'WIPO GREEN' to promote the utilisation of green technologies, which is run by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The online platform, WIPO GREEN, was established by WIPO in 2013 to give a boost to the spread of green technologies. The activities of WIPO GREEN focus on encouraging the utilisation of green technologies by promoting business matchmaking between the providers and users, utilising the databases, and holding events. The JPO is the first intellectual property Office in the Asia-Pacific Region to participate in this platform.

The JPO has indicated that it will continue to support the spread of green technologies as a partner by giving advice on the activities of WIPO GREEN and sharing knowledge with other partners.
