Clifford Chance advises Hitachi on its agreement to acquire Thales' Ground Transportation Systems business
Hitachi, Ltd. through Hitachi Rail ("Hitachi") has entered into exclusive negotiations with Thales with a view to acquire its Ground Transportation Systems business ("GTS") for an enterprise value of €1,660 m.
The acquisition is expected to close in late FY2022 / early FY2023, subject to the usual conditions including regulatory clearances.

Hitachi, Ltd. au travers d'Hitachi Rail Limited (« Hitachi »), est entré en négociations exclusives avec Thales en vue d'acquérir son activité « Systèmes de transport terrestre » (“Ground Transportation Systems” ou “GTS”) pour une valeur d’entreprise de 1,66 milliard d’euros.
L'acquisition devrait être finalisée en fin d’année 2022 / début d'année 2023, sous réserve des conditions usuelles, notamment des autorisations réglementaires.
