Clifford Chance a Finalist for "Top Law Firm" Honours in Fintech
Recognizing leadership and innovation in the online lending and Fintech industries, LendIt announced the finalists for its First Annual Industry Awards (the "Awards"). Clifford Chance is among six finalists for "Top Law Firm," reflecting the Firm's experience across 14 offices globally, including those in the US, the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
LendIt is the world's largest event series dedicated to connecting the Fintech and lending communities. Co-founder Jason Jones said that this year's finalists in 18 categories represent "some of the most innovative companies that are radically improving financial services through technology." The finalists will be evaluated by Fintech industry experts, and winners will be announced in March during the LendIt Industry Awards Ceremony & Dinner in New York City.
"Clifford Chance is in a unique position to bring global business solutions to clients in the Fintech space," said Robert Villani, a Capital Markets partner resident in the Firm's New York office. "We look forward to the continued growth of our practice across the broad scope of substantive legal and regulatory issues that Fintech-related transactions present."
Clifford Chance's integrated Fintech team encompasses the Firm's preeminent banking and regulatory practices as well as key substantive expertise in cybersecurity and intellectual property rights plus sector experience in telecommunications, media and technology. Working across major financial and commercial centers around the world, the team advises on a full spectrum of financial products and is often involved in groundbreaking deals, some involving work with regulatory bodies that helps to shape current and proposed frameworks.
