Clifford Chance advises Diamond Generating Europe in relation to the sale and transfer of its 50% stake in offshore wind farm Luchterduinen
Clifford Chance has advised Diamond Generating Europe B.V. (DGE) on the sale and transfer of its 50 percent interest in the offshore wind farm Luchterduinen to INPEX Renewable Energy Europe Limited. The Clifford Chance team advised on the full suite of the sell side auction process.
The Luchterduinen offshore wind farm is located 23 kilometers offshore Noordwijk and has been in commercial operation since 2015 with an output scale of 129 MW produced by 43 3-MW units. The wind farm supports the Netherlands in reaching its target share of renewable power generation and greenhouse gas reduction targets, making it an important project from the energy transition- and ESG point of view. Now that the transaction has been completed, the wind farm is owned by Eneco (50 per cent), and INPEX (50 per cent).
This transaction builds on Clifford Chance's market-leading Projects and M&A practices and sector expertise in renewable energy. The Clifford Chance team was led out of Amsterdam by Hein Tonnaer, Liesbeth Buiter and Tim Heerschop and furthermore consisted of Luc van Oosterhout, Joris Dortmans, Sabine van den Heuvel and Sarah van Eijk (Corporate/M&A), Jasper Dijkshoorn (Finance), Tjerk de Jonge (Notary), Michiel Sunderman and Alec Sanderson (Tax) in Amsterdam, Alex Nourry, Deepaloke Chatterjee and Edita Katuscakova (Competition) in London and Yong Bai, Dayu Man, Xiang Li and Michael Yan (Competition) in Beijing.
