Yong Bai specialises in Antitrust and Competition issues and has more than 10 years of experience advising Chinese and multinational corporations on business investment, regulatory matters and investigations across a range of industries.

Yong's deal experience includes Pfizer's US$160 billion merger with Allergan; inbound investments into China for multinationals like Coca-Cola and private equity firms; and outbound transactions by Chinese investors such as COFCO's acquisitions of Noble Agri and Nidera. Yong has worked in the London and Brussels offices, and prior to joining the firm, he worked for the PRC's Ministry of Commerce. He received his Bachelor of Laws from Shanghai International Studies University and his LLM from Tsinghua Law School and Columbia Law School. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.

  • COFCO Corporation on its acquisition of Noble Agri and Nidera – coordinating antitrust and foreign investment filings in 15 jurisdictions in total, including China, the EU and the US
