Clifford Chance advises Swisslog Healthcare on investment in Pharmony

In an innovation-focussed European health-tech transaction, international law firm Clifford Chance has advised Swisslog Healthcare, a global leading supplier of solutions for medication management in healthcare and member of KUKA Group, on entering into a partnership with Pharmony SaaS, a Belgium-based technology company providing cloud-based medication management services. Swisslog Healthcare has acquired a minority stake in Pharmony.

The aim of the partnership is to develop and deliver integrated automation and cloud-based software solutions to community pharmacies in Europe, in order to provide pharmacy owners with robust tools to manage their operations more efficiently. The parties agreed that further details of the transaction will not be disclosed.

Pharmony was established in 2016 and develops cloud-based pharmacy management software solutions. Swisslog Healthcare provides facility-wide transport and pharmacy automation systems for hospitals worldwide.

In einer innovationsfokussierten europäischen Healthtech-Transaktion hat die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance Swisslog Healthcare, Teil der KUKA Group und ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Lösungen für das Medikamentenmanagement im Gesundheitswesen, beim Abschluss einer Partnerschaft mit Pharmony SaaS, einem belgischen Technologieunternehmen für cloud-basierte Apothekenmanagement-Dienstleistungen, rechtlich beraten. Swisslog Healthcare hat dabei eine Minderheitsbeteiligung an Pharmony erworben.

Ziel der Partnerschaft ist es, integrierte Automatisierungs- und cloud-basierte Softwarelösungen für das Betriebsmanagement von Apotheken bereit zu stellen. Die Parteien haben vereinbart, dass weitere Details der Transaktion nicht bekannt gegeben werden.

Pharmony wurde 2016 gegründet und entwickelt cloud-basierte Softwarelösungen zum Apothekenmanagement. Swisslog Healthcare liefert Systemlösungen zur Medikamenten- und Transportautomation für Krankenhäuser weltweit.
