EU proposal for a directive on green claims: a further piece of the puzzle to protect consumers from "greenwashing" in advertising

On 22 March 2023, the European Commission (EC) published its proposal for a "Green Claims Directive" to tackle "greenwashing", by imposing new requirements on environmental claims stopping the proliferation of public and private environmental labels.
