Clifford Chance advised ICN Development, BESIX RED and TRALUX Immobilier on the structuring, acquisition and financing of the Villeroy & Boch site in Luxembourg.
Clifford Chance advised ICN Development, BESIX Real Estate Development (BESIX RED) and TRALUX Immobilier on the acquisition of the land on which Factory 1 of Villeroy & Boch was located in Rollingergrund, Luxembourg. With nearly 46,000 m2 of buildable area, the site will now be called Faïencerie. Located 2 km from the city centre between the residential area of Limpertsberg and the Bambësch forest, it is bordered on both sides by magnificent green forests. The new complex will be a mix of residential, office and commercial spaces.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Henri d'Ursel (partner) and included Sébastien Schmitz (counsel) on the real estate side, Stefanie Ferring (counsel) and Marc Mehlen (partner) on the financing and structuring work, Geoffrey Scardoni (partner) on the tax aspects of the transaction and Katia Gauzès (partner) for the corporate aspects.
