Clifford Chance advises Atlantia on the acquisition of Yunex Traffic from Siemens
Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised Atlantia, a global leader in the motorway and airport infrastructure sector, on entering into agreement with the Siemens Group for the acquisition of Yunex Traffic, a global leader in Intelligent Transport and Smart Mobility systems, at a price of €950m.
Signature of the agreement marks the conclusion of a bidding process launched by Siemens in recent months, and which has seen Atlantia beat off competition from a large number of international bidders. It is a strategic step in the process of delivering on Atlantia’s growth strategy, as existing motorway, airport and digital payment assets are expected to benefit from operating and business synergies. Yunex Traffic is indeed one of the world’s leading Intelligent Transport Systems providers, active in the field of Smart Cities and IoT.
The transaction was led by Atlantia's in-house legal team that included General Counsel Claudia Ricchetti and Head of Legal Affairs Investment Europe Marco Stocchi Grava.
Clifford Chance advised Atlantia with a multidisciplinary and cross-border team of Milan and Dusseldorf offices, led by partners Umberto Penco Salvi and Anselm Raddatz. The team consisted also of counsel Andrea Tuninetti Ferrari, senior associate Tobias Kamerling and the associates Matthias Christian Forster, Iolanda D'Anselmo and Giulio Pelizza. Antitrust and Foreign Investment Control matters were covered by partner Luciano Di Via with associate Antonio Mirabile. Smart Mobility: Clifford Chance berät Atlantia beim Erwerb von Yunex Traffic von Siemens
Die internationale Anwaltskanzlei Clifford Chance hat Atlantia, ein weltweit führendes Unternehmen im Bereich Autobahn- und Flughafeninfrastruktur, beim Abschluss einer Vereinbarung mit der Siemens-Gruppe zum Erwerb von Yunex Traffic, einem weltweit führenden Anbieter von intelligenten Transport- und Smart Mobility-Systemen, beraten. Die Transaktion hat ein Gesamtvolumen von 950 Millionen Euro.
Die Vereinbarung markiert den Abschluss eines von Siemens in den vergangenen Monaten durchgeführten Bieterverfahrens, bei dem sich Atlantia gegen zahlreiche internationale Bieter durchsetzen konnte. Mit diesem Schritt führt Atlantia seine Wachstumsstrategie fort, da das angestammte Geschäft von Atlantia voraussichtlich von Synergien mit dem neu erworbenen Geschäft wird profitieren können. Yunex Traffic ist im Bereich Smart Cities und Internet of Things (IoT) tätig.
