Clifford Chance's powerhouse LatAm team wins Legal Adviser of the Year at IJGlobal Awards 2018
Clifford Chance was named Latin America Legal Adviser of the Year (International) at the IJGlobal Awards 2018. The ceremony was held on March 14 in New York City. In addition to this prestigious award, our Latin America team also advised on two award-winning transactions:
- Latin America Solar Deal of the Year – Cerro Dominador concentrated solar power and photovoltaic plant, Chile
- Latin America Transmission Deal of the Year – Cajamarca Transmission Line Refinancing, Peru
Clifford Chance advised on a record number of deals across Latin America in 2018 and topped IJGlobal's Latin America project finance league tables in deal count for the second consecutive year. Additional work highlights in Latin America in the last year include working closely with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Government of Argentina on the structuring and documentation of its Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) program, as well as advising IDB and IDB Invest in connection with the first-ever issuance by IDB of a Reais-denominated guaranty of Brazilian infrastructure bonds.
These results once again demonstrate Clifford Chance's leadership in the energy and infrastructure sector across the Americas. In 2018, the Firm was named Project Finance Team of the Year at the IFLR Americas Awards and Infrastructure law firm of the year – Andes at the LatinFinance Awards.
