Clifford Chance advises on AB InBev's acquisition of SABMiller
International law firm Clifford Chance is advising the key AB InBev shareholders on its acquisition of SABMiller, including on corporate and tax matters. The firm has acted for the shareholders throughout the course of the matter with particular involvement on the deal structuring side.
Global Head of Clifford Chance's Corporate practice, Guy Norman is leading the cross-practice, international team along with fellow Corporate partner Patrick Sarch. The team comprised Philippe Hamer and Niek de Pauw advising on Belgian corporate matters and David Moldenhauer and Philip Wagman (both New York), David Harkness (London) and Thierry Blockerye (Brussels), advising on tax aspects.
Clifford Chance is also advising AB InBev on the financing of the transaction with a team led by finance partners Roderick McGillivray and Peter Dahlen in London.
