Clifford Chance advised lux-Airport on the development financing of the landmark Skypark Business Center property
Clifford Chance advised lux-Airport on the development financing of the landmark Skypark Business Center property in one of the largest single property financing transactions in Luxembourg to date which was provided by a syndicate of Luxembourg banks. The Skypark Business Center is one of Europe’s largest wooden buildings and the first milestone of Airport City, a major development project surrounding Luxembourg Airport. Construction on this ultra-modern building is well advanced, and it is poised to set new standards in sustainable and environmentally conscious construction.
The Skypark Business Center is designed to be a new benchmark in sustainability, employing a timber construction method aimed at significantly reducing the CO2 footprint. A variety of other tools and smart technologies are being utilised to ensure the project's overall sustainability. This innovative approach underscores lux-Airport’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sets a new standard for future developments in the region.
The Clifford Chance team, led by Stefanie Ferring (Partner – Global Financial Markets) was further composed of Donald Sefer (Senior Associate – Global Financial Markets), Sébastien Schmitz (Counsel – Real Estate), Alma Custovic (Senior Associate – Real Estate), Geoffrey Scardoni (Partner – Tax) and Maxime Budzin (Counsel – Tax).
