Clifford Chance advises AEW on the launch of the ULLIS fund, a new platform dedicated to urban light industrial assets
Clifford Chance has advised AEW, a leading global real estate investment and asset manager, on the launch of a new urban light industrial strategy platform (ULLIS) with 475 million euros of start-up equity.
The platform is structured as a scalable partnership, targeting the development of an initial portfolio of circa 800 million euros. The investors that have committed to the platform are long-term partners of AEW in the logistics sector and include PGGM, Allianz Real Estate and Crédit Agricole Assurances.
ULLIS aims to build a core portfolio focused on urban light industrial assets in major metropolitan areas of France, Germany and the Netherlands. The majority of equity is expected to be deployed across brownfield build-to-core developments, which will be supported by the acquisition of some income producing assets.

Clifford Chance a conseillé AEW, un des leaders mondiaux du conseil en investissement et en gestion d’actifs immobiliers, sur le lancement d'une nouvelle plateforme dédiée à la logistique et aux parcs d’activités en zone urbaine (ULLIS). Son capital de départ est de 475 millions d'euros.
La plateforme, structurée comme un partenariat évolutif, vise le développement d'un portefeuille initial d'environ 800 millions d'euros. Les investisseurs engagés, comprenant PGGM, Allianz Real Estate et Crédit Agricole Assurances, sont des partenaires de longue date d'AEW en immobilier logistique.
ULLIS a pour objectif de construire un portefeuille core focalisé sur les parcs d’activités implantés en zone urbaine des principales agglomérations en France, en Allemagne et aux Pays-Bas. La plateforme déploiera l’essentiel de sa stratégie au travers de projets de redéveloppement, complétés par l’acquisition d’actifs existants.
