Clifford Chance advises Permira on majority investment in EF Kids & Teens

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance is advising Permira Funds (Permira) as international counsel on its investment in the EF Kids & Teens business. Upon completion, which is subject to customary conditions, Permira will hold a majority stake in the market leading EF Kids & Teens business headquartered in Switzerland with 288 English-language schools across 62 cities in China and 79 schools in Indonesia.

Partner Andrew Whan is leading a team comprising of Hong Zhang (partner), Benedict Taylor, Laurence Feeny, Brian Harley, Fang Bao, Winifred Chow, Hillary Huang and Raad Gorji. Richard Blewett (partner) and Dayu Man are advising on the deal's anti-trust aspects; and Vanessa Marsland and Ling Ho (partners) and Iris Mok are advising on intellectual property.
