Clifford Chance advises Global Infrastructure Partners on sale of stake in North Sea wind farm Gode Wind 1

Infrastructure fund Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) has sold its 50 percent stake in the offshore wind farm Gode Wind 1 in equal shares to the investors Glennmont Partners and The Renewables Infrastructure Group Limited. International law firm Clifford Chance provided legal advice to GIP on this transaction as it did on the acquisition.

The Gode Wind 1 offshore wind farm, which went into operation in 2017, is located in the North Sea on an area of 37 square kilometres. With its capacity of 55 turbines, each with a rated output of 6 megawatt, it has a capacity of 330 megawatt.

Der Infrastrukturfonds Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) hat seine 50-prozentige Beteiligung an dem Offshore-Windpark Gode Wind 1 zu gleichen Teilen an die Investoren Glennmont Partners und The Renewables Infrastructure Group Limited veräußert. Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat GIP wie schon beim Erwerb auch in dieser Transaktion rechtlich beraten.

Der 2017 in Betrieb gegangene Offshore-Windpark Gode Wind 1 liegt rund 30 Kilometer nördlich der Insel Norderney auf einer Fläche von 37 Quadratkilometern. Mit seinen 55 Turbinen mit einer Nennleistung von je 6 Megawatt verfügt er über eine Kapazität von 330 Megawatt.
