Clifford Chance advises Blackstone in acquiring CRH Europe Distribution
International law firm Clifford Chance has advised Blackstone on the acquisition of CRH Europe Distribution (CRH ED), the third largest building materials distribution platform in continental Europe, from global building materials group CRH plc for an enterprise value of €1.64 billion.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, CRH ED is the European building materials distribution arm of CRH plc, a FTSE 100 building materials group.
The Clifford Chance team was led by London-based Partners Spencer Baylin and Christopher Sullivan, supported by Partner Graham Phillips, Senior Associates Barry Cahill, Oliver Marcuse and Greg Scott, and Associates Jorge Martin, Calvin Yang and Shimin Lee.
The transaction team was also supported by antitrust Partner Jenine Hulsmann, Senior Associate Jennifer Storey, as well as pensions Partner Clare Hoxey.
