Clifford Chance advises Cording Real Estate on EUR 225 million acquisition of Carrée Seestraße in Berlin

International law firm Clifford Chance has advised Cording Real Estate Group GmbH on the acquisition of the former Carrée Seestraße, formerly known as "Osram-Höfe" in Berlin. Cording acquired the listed commercial property for 225 million euros from the seller Deutsche Real Estate AG.

The Carrée Seestraße covers around 64,700 square metres. The largest tenant with 8,500 square meters is Berlin's Charité. The historically significant ensemble of buildings is located at Groninger Strasse 25-27, Liebenwalder Strasse 21 and Oudenarder Strasse 16 in Berlin's Wedding district. It was built in 1880 and was formerly used as a factory building for the production of incandescent lamps by Osram.

Clifford Chance advised Cording on the signing of the purchase agreement as well as on the structuring and financing of the transaction. Previously, Clifford Chance had advised Cording on another project.
