Global law firm Clifford Chance advised the Steering Committee of lenders under the Super Senior Revolving Credit Facility on Intrum AB's recapitalisation which closed on 24 July 2025. The transaction was implemented by way of a pre-packaged Chapter 11 and a Swedish reorganisation plan and effected a rescheduling and restructuring of Intrum's c.EUR 4.5 billion bond, revolving and term loan debt.

Our team was led by London partners John MacLennan and Emma Folds and involved colleagues in London (partners Philp Hertz, Peter Dahlen and Neil Cavanagh and associates William Steel, Charlotte Holt, June Ng, Emma Price, Isabelle Woodcock, Daniil Alexandrenko, Pia Sulkava, Dilara Topcu, Eugenio Decio and Jacqueline Tan), New York (partner Maja Zerjal Fink and associate Madelyn Nicolini), Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain.

The Clifford Chance team worked on the transaction alongside the Steering Committee's Swedish counsel, Roschier, and its financial adviser, Rothschild & Co.
