Global law firm Clifford Chance has successfully advised Cisco Systems, Inc. ("Cisco") on obtaining unconditional clearance from the European Commission for its proposed $28 billion acquisition of Splunk, a pivotal move in Cisco's expansion of its security and observability offerings in the age of AI and multi-cloud environments that will help make organisations of all sizes more secure and digitally resilient.

The EU Commission's decision marks the end of a global antitrust approval process that Clifford Chance has helped navigate through over the last months.
