Maarten advises clients on all aspects of European and Belgian antitrust law, and represents them before the European Commission, national competition authorities, and European courts. His practice focuses in particular on complex investigations into abuse of market power, anti-competitive agreements, and multi-jurisdictional merger control in the technology sector, including in relation to enterprise software, digital advertising, mobile ecosystems, e-commerce, and social media. He also advises on regulation in the technology sector, including compliance with the Digital Markets Act. He has represented clients such as Spotify, Epic Games, Cisco, and Oracle.
