Bartosz Krużewski and Kabir Singh appointed alternate members of the ICC Court
From the 1st July 2021, Bartosz Krużewski, Arbitration Partner, head of the Clifford Chance Continental Europe Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice and based in Warsaw, and Kabir Singh, Arbitration Partner in Clifford Chance's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in Singapore have been appointed alternate members of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (the "ICC Court"), for a three-year term.
The ICC International Court of Arbitration is one of the world's leading arbitral institutions. Its role is to ensure proper application of the ICC Arbitration Rules, supervise arbitration proceedings, scrutinise and approve awards, and support parties and arbitrators in overcoming procedural obstacles.
Members of the ICC Court are appointed by the ICC World Council based on the proposal of the local ICC national committee or group, or of the President of the Court in jurisdictions where there is no national committee or group.
Jason Fry QC, Global co-head of the firm’s International Arbitration Group and former Secretary General of the ICC Court and former ICC Court member, commented: "We congratulate Bartosz and Kabir on their appointment to the ICC Court. Bartosz Krużewski, partner w warszawskim biurze Clifford Chance specjalizujący się w arbitrażu, kierujący praktyką postępowań spornych w Europie Kontynentalnej, oraz Kabir Singh, partner w praktyce postępowań spornych w biurze Clifford Chance w Singapurze, specjalizujący się w arbitrażu, zostali mianowani członkami Międzynarodowego Sądu Arbitrażowego przy Międzynarodowej Izbie Handlowej ("Sąd ICC") na trzyletnią kadencję.
Międzynarodowy Sąd Arbitrażowy ICC jest jedną z wiodących instytucji arbitrażowych na świecie. Jego zadaniem jest zapewnienie właściwego stosowania Regulaminu Arbitrażowego ICC, nadzorowanie postępowań arbitrażowych, kontrola i zatwierdzanie orzeczeń oraz wspieranie stron i arbitrów w pokonywaniu przeszkód proceduralnych.
Członkowie Sądu ICC są powoływani przez Radę Światową ICC na podstawie propozycji lokalnego komitetu narodowego lub grupy narodowej ICC lub Prezesa Sądu w jurysdykcjach, w których nie ma komitetu narodowego lub grupy narodowej.
