Clifford Chance advised on the 2019 Deal of the Year in Poland according to CEE Legal Matters

Clifford Chance Warsaw is very proud to announce that the sale of the DCT Gdańsk S.A. deep-water container terminal was awarded the 2019 Poland Deal of The Year by CEE Legal Matters. This is yet another award for this transaction, which has already been recognized as the largest private M&A transaction in Poland in 2019 by Forbes Poland.

Clifford Chance Warsaw comprehensively advised Australian investors Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), Statewide, Motor Trades Association of Australia and Australian Super, on their exit from DCT Gdańsk S.A. and the transaction process.

DCT Gdańsk is one of the largest infrastructure investments in Poland, the largest and fastest-growing Polish container terminal and the only deep-water terminal in the Baltic Sea region at which ships from the Far East call directly.

The transaction process was led by Wojciech Polz, partner at Clifford Chance Warsaw, who is experienced in handling private equity and infrastructure investments. Other key members of the transaction team included Mateusz Stępień, counsel; Nick Fletcher, of counsel, head of the English Law practice; Jarosław Gajda, senior associate; and Aleksandra Właszczuk, associate, from the Corporate Department at Clifford Chance Warsaw. The transaction team was supported by dr hab. Piotr Bogdanowicz, counsel, specializing in European Law; Łukasz Mamiński, senior associate, specializing in competition law; Adelina Prokop, senior associate, responsible for regulatory issues; and Piotr Węcławowicz, associate, who was responsible for the financial aspects of the transaction.

Warszawski zespół kancelarii Clifford Chance kompleksowo doradzał australijskim inwestorom Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), Statewide, Motor Trades Association of Australia oraz Australian Super w związku ze sprzedażą DCT Gdańsk S.A.
