Clifford Chance advises German chemicals specialist Lanxess on acquisition of IMD Natural Solutions
International law firm Clifford Chance has advised specialty chemicals group LANXESS on the acquisition of IMD Natural Solutions GmbH.
LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals group with revenues of EUR 9.66 billion in 2017 and app. 19,200 employees in 25 countries. LANXESS develops, manufactures and distributes chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals and plastics.
Based in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, IMD Natural Solutions develops antimicrobial preservatives from sustainable natural sources for the beverage industry. The natural mushroom extract produced by IMD is significantly more effective than chemical preservatives and particularly suitable for the sterilization of beverages.

IMD Natural Solutions mit Sitz in Dortmund entwickelt anti-mikrobielle Haltbarkeitsstoffe aus nachhaltigen Naturstoffquellen für die Getränkeindustrie. Der von IMD hergestellte natürliche Pilzextrakt ist deutlich effektiver als chemische Haltbarkeitsstoffe und besonders geeignet für die Entkeimung von Getränken.
