Coronavirus: measures supporting availability of financing for Polish businesses

In March 2020, the Polish government launched its "Anti-crisis Shield" intended to support businesses during the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Anti-crisis Shield comprises a broad scope of legislative measures, subsidies and programmes aimed at preserving jobs and improving liquidity and financial stability of businesses affected by the pandemic, also in the sphere of tax, social insurance, employment, certain contractual relationships, and administrative and court procedures, etc1. This briefing focuses on measures supporting the availability of financing for medium and large Polish businesses. Except for the full implementation of programmes that have already been announced, the government does not plan to introduce further measures. This briefing presents the status as at 10 August 2020.
