Coronavirus: The Paycheck Protection Program and US REITs

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act creates a new $349 billion lending program that will provide low-interest, government-guaranteed loans to small businesses. The program is called the "Paycheck Protection Program" or "PPP." The PPP will be administered by the Small Business Administration as an extension of Section 7(a) of the Small Business Act.
