Sustainable Procurement Programme

By maintaining strong and trusted relationships with our suppliers, we can deliver on our responsible business commitments.

It is through our ability and willingness to share information with our suppliers, and vice versa, that we can successfully adapt to changing client demands, and drive greater value from our relationships. In addition, it drives a consistency of approach, where there is one voice that aligns with our company vision and strategy.

About the programme

Our sustainable procurement programme helps to strengthen the resilience and transparency of our supply chains by ensuring that the way we purchase goods and services, and the suppliers we work with, supports ethical business practices, contributes to sustainable economic development, and keeps us aligned with evolving regulatory and stakeholder expectations.  Thank you for joining us on our sustainability journey.  The first step of our programme requires you to complete an EcoVadis sustainability assessment to identify your strengths and areas of improvement, which will allow you to further advance your processes, policies and ethical practices within your organisation.

How the assessment works

EcoVadis operates an evidence-based online platform. During the assessment process, our suppliers will be asked to provide evidence of the policies, process and controls they have in place and be formally assessed against a range of ESG factors, which are grouped into four themes; environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The output of the assessment is presented in a scorecard that provides a clear overview of the strengths and areas of improvement. The scorecards are valid for twelve months after the publication date and one reassessment is included in an annual subscription.

Registering and completing the sustainability assessment

  • You will be contacted by EcoVadis, where you'll be asked to register on their online platform and complete a detailed sustainability assessment, which includes entering your scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions data. If you are not already an EcoVadis customer there is an annual fee to register your company, which will vary depending on the size of your company.
  • Once completed, you will be able to access the assessment output and your score, which you can share with other clients if you wish. Learn more about the EcoVadis assessment.
  • If you have any questions about the assessment, timelines or our sustainability initiative please contact our Global Responsible Supply Chain Team.
  • If you have any technical questions or need help during the assessment process itself then please contact the EcoVadis Supplier Engagement Team.
