Clifford Chance advises SICC on its IPO and listing in Hong Kong
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised semiconductor company SICC Co., Ltd. (SICC) on its initial public offering and listing of H shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which raised approximately US$260 million (HK$2 billion). SICC was listed on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2022.
SICC is a global leader in the wide bandgap semiconductor material industry, focusing on the research, development, and industrialisation of silicon carbide (SiC) substrates. Its materials are used in several industries, including electric vehicles, AI data centers and photovoltaic systems.
Chair of China Practice and partner Tim Wang co-led the deal with partners Tianning Xiang and Fang Liu and with support from senior associates Luyi Jiao and Ada Zheng, associates Xiao Tang and Yaomin Pan, trainee solicitors Ke Shi, Jin Qin and Julie Luo and legal specialists Bryan Lu and Huijie Chen.
