Clifford Chance advises Avesoro on strategic portfolio acquisition and alliance in Morocco

Clifford Chance has advised Avesoro Holdings LTD, a private gold-focused exploration and development company with an expanding presence across Africa, on its acquisition of a portfolio of precious and base metal projects in Morocco from EMX Royalty Corporation. The transaction also includes the formation of a strategic exploration alliance between Avesoro and EMX, aimed at jointly identifying and developing additional mineral assets in Morocco.

The transaction marks a significant step in Avesoro’s broader growth strategy to expand its exploration and development activities across the African continent, with a focus on underexplored and high-potential jurisdictions. It further underscores Clifford Chance’s ability to support clients on complex, cross-border natural resources deals in Africa and globally.
