Clifford Chance further expands Global Antitrust team with hire of another partner in London, Elizabeth Sinclair
Global law firm Clifford Chance has hired Elizabeth Sinclair as a partner in its Global Antitrust Group based in London. This is Clifford Chance's third antitrust partner hire in the past year, reflecting strong client demand for the firm's expertise in navigating an increasingly complex antitrust landscape.
Elizabeth re-joins Clifford Chance from Amazon, where she was senior counsel on competition matters in the UK and EU for the past four years. She brings deep knowledge of the tech sector and regulatory approaches to tech regulation. Elizabeth also has extensive experience in UK and EU antitrust law, having led various cases at the CMA, and a portfolio spanning merger control, antitrust investigations, and regulatory frameworks like the EU DMA and UK DMCC.
Nelson Jung, Partner and Head of London Antitrust at Clifford Chance, commented: "We are delighted to have Elizabeth rejoin our team. Her extensive experience and deep understanding of the tech sector will be a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our antitrust capabilities. Elizabeth's return will help us meet the growing demand for antitrust expertise and provide exceptional service to our clients across multiple jurisdictions."
Sinclair said: "The opportunity to reconnect with such a talented team is extremely exciting. I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the global antitrust team by driving impactful solutions for clients and building on the strong relationships across our practice areas."
Recent Clifford Chance client mandates include successfully advising Delivery Hero on settling the EU Commission’s cartel investigation into food delivery services, Aviva on its acquisition of Direct Line Group, and BlackRock on its acquisition of HPS Investment Partners, further demonstrating the firm's prowess and strategic focus in navigating complex antitrust matters.
