Elizabeth is a Partner in Clifford Chance’s London Antitrust team. She advises clients on all aspects of UK and EU competition law, with a particular focus on the technology sector (including the implications of tech regulation), merger control, and behavioural investigations.
Elizabeth rejoined the firm in July 2025, having previously served as Senior Competition Counsel at Amazon, where she led on competition law matters across the UK and EU. Prior to that, she was Assistant Director at the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), where she worked on complex merger reviews and enforcement cases.
Experience while at Amazon
- Leading on the CMA’s CA98 investigation into the Amazon Marketplace
- Leading on market investigations by the FCA, ACM and CMA into cloud computing services
- Advising on the application of the DMA
- Leading the antitrust analysis and strategy for Amazon’s potential and actual M&A and investments with an EU or UK nexus, including Amazon's acquisition of a minority stake in Anthropic
- Advising on ongoing competition compliance across Amazon's portfolio of businesses in the UK

- Assistant Director in the mergers department leading Phase I merger reviews
