Clifford Chance achieves Mansfield certification in US and UK

Global law firm Clifford Chance has achieved Mansfield certification in the United States for the eighth consecutive year, and in the United Kingdom for the third year.

Mansfield is a year-long certification process designed with a focus on ensuring that all qualifying talent at participating law firms have a fair and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership roles.

As of 2024, there are more than 365 US, Canadian, and UK law firms participating in the certification process – which includes a commitment to the core principles of transparency, accountability, and knowledge sharing.

Sharis Pozen, Regional Managing Partner for the Americas said, "The transparency and accountability of the programme has helped us build on our progress and highlight where we need to focus our efforts. We are proud and encouraged by our advancement towards greater inclusivity in our leadership."

In the UK, the firm achieved Mansfield Certification Plus metrics – which show how firms are progressing efforts to broaden talent leadership pools and increasing visibility of advancement processes. While the Mansfield certification in the UK was established in 2021 to focus on the progress of diversity of lawyers, the firm has implemented the same criteria across all roles in the UK, including Business Professionals.

The firm has also signed up to Mansfield’s Disability Inclusion Commitments in the US and the UK.
