Clifford Chance advises Barclays, BofA Securities and Numis on Pod Point's IPO and London premium listing
Leading international law firm Clifford Chance is advising Barclays as Sponsor and Joint Global Co-ordinator, BofA Securities as Joint Global Co-ordinator and Numis as Joint Bookrunner.
Pod Point is one of the United Kingdom's leading providers of Electric Vehicle ("EV") charging solutions. Pod Point, founded in 2009 has been able to establish a strong market position in key UK market segments, including Home and Commercial (workplace and destination) charging. The initial offer price values Pod Point's total market capitalisation at £352 million. Électricité de France (EDF) retained a stake of over 50% and plans to continue to support Pod Point's future growth through co-operation in relation to EDF's UK customer base and through access to EDF's capabilities across the energy value chain.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Global Practice Area Leader for Capital Markets Adrian Cartwright and US Securities partner John Connolly, alongside senior associate James Koessler. The team also included associates Kelly Frevele, Mathias Toubiana and trainee Radhika Sharma.
Clifford Chance has advised on many of the largest recent European equity listings, including Volvo Cars on its proposed IPO and Nasdaq Stockholm listing and the largest shareholder in electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar in connection with its proposed listing on Nasdaq in New York pursuant to a business combination. Other recent European equity listings include advising Azelis and its majority shareholder EQT on its €1.8 billion IPO on Euronext Brussels, InPost (Europe's largest ever tech IPO), Pepco (the largest IPO in Central and Eastern Europe in 2021 so far), Allegro (IFR EMEA IPO of the Year 2020), The Hut Group (the largest IPO on the LSE in 2020) and JDE Peet's (Europe's largest IPO in 2020).
