Smarting up legal services: Clifford Chance enhances its digital expertise
Clifford Chance continues the strategic expansion of its digital expertise in 2019. The Firm is investing heavily in Innovation & Best Delivery projects and promoting the use of digital solutions in the industry through strategic partnerships and events.

In May 2019, Clifford Chance became the first commercial law firm in Germany to launch an integrated digital and legal tech centre based at its Frankfurt office. This new "Innovation & Best Delivery Hub" acts as a centralised interdisciplinary innovation hub for all German and international teams. The aim is to use innovative workflow and technology solutions to improve advisory services and interactions with clients. The Frankfurt hub is another extension of the Clifford Chance global innovation strategy, which includes further hubs in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US.
At "Talking Tech Live – Innovation in Business", the first international digital event hosted by the firm's global tech group in Berlin in September, legal experts and company representatives discussed the legal and financial opportunities of digitalisation and innovation management.
Thanks to its legal tech capabilities and innovative solutions, Clifford Chance is well-placed to act, once again, as main partner and exhibitor at the Legal ®Evolution Expo & Congress. On 4 and 5 December 2019, a large number of visitors from tech-minded companies, legal tech providers and law firms, as well as digital savvy young lawyers, are expected to attend the exhibition in "Kap Europa" in Frankfurt to discuss innovation in the sector.
Using the slogan "Create, Disrupt, Deliver – Smarting up Legal Services" Clifford Chance has a wide-ranging programme to offer, both at its exhibition stand and to conference participants, including an interview with Tijen Onaran, founder of the Global Digital Women network, on digitalisation, career and diversity, and a student event called DigiWHAT … TechWHO … InnoSOMETHING. From tech dummy to tech lawyer in 90 minutes. As part of the conference programme, experts from Clifford Chance will be speaking on Lawyer in the cloud and presenting the journey From law firm to law lab. Clifford Chance partner and Head of Innovation Germany, Dr. Sandra Thiel, will also chair the prestigious general counsel panel at the conference.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance setzt den strategischen Ausbau ihrer Digital-Kompetenzen in 2019 weiter fort. Dafür investiert die Sozietät stark in die Bereiche Innovation und Best Delivery und treibt den Austausch zu und den Einsatz von Digital-Lösungen in der Branche mit strategischen Partnerschaften und Veranstaltungen voran.

Auf dem ersten internationalen Digital-Event "Talking Tech Live – Innovation in Business" der globalen Tech Group von Clifford Chance diskutierten außerdem bereits im September in Berlin Rechtsexperten und Unternehmensvertreter rechtliche und wirtschaftliche Chancen und Herausforderungen von Digitalwirtschaft und Innovationsmanagement.
Mit ihren Legal Tech-Kapazitäten und Innovationsansätzen präsentiert sich Clifford Chance erneut als Main Partner und Aussteller bei der Legal ®Evolution Expo & Congress. Am 4. und 5.
