Sadler's Wells Foundation Appoints Clifford Chance Real Estate Associates to Board of Trustees

Clifford Chance Real Estate Associates Melissa Sykes and Ivan Yuen have been appointed to the Sadler's Wells Foundation Board of Trustees as Trustee Placements. Sadler's Wells is a world-leading creative organisation dedicated to dance in all its forms.

Sadler's Wells Foundation has appointed Melissa and Ivan to bring the voice of a younger generation to its board, as part of a forward-thinking approach to ensure that the dance theatre continues to appeal to broad and diverse audiences, as well as to contribute to the development of a pool of younger board members for the creative sector.

Clifford Chance has a long-standing relationship with Sadler's Wells, with lead Real Estate partner Ian Painter having worked with them for over 10 years. Ian most recently advised Sadler's Wells Foundation, on the development and pre-letting of a new, additional dance theatre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

On their appointment Real Estate Partner Ian Painter said:

"It is always a pleasure to work with the team at Sadler's Wells and the firm is very proud that the Board has appointed Melissa and Ivan. The decision reflects Sadler's Wells forward-thinking vision to corporate governance matters, and I'm confident that Melissa and Ivan will be able to add a new dimension to the already distinguished and experienced Board".

Real Estate Associate, Melissa Sykes said:

"I am passionate about the performing arts and am delighted to be able to contribute to the exciting future of the Sadler's Wells Foundation."

Real Estate Associate, Ivan Yuen commented:

"It is an honour to be part of the Sadler's Wells Foundation Board of Trustees and I hope that Melissa and I are able to help Sadler's Wells continue to build upon their reputation as world leaders in dance."
