Clifford Chance strengthens Global Financial Markets practice with hire of counsel Heiko-Jan Lameijer in Amsterdam

Global law firm Clifford Chance welcomes Heiko-Jan Lameijer as Counsel in Amsterdam into its Global Financial Markets practice per 1 October 2025, further strengthening its financial regulatory capabilities.

Heiko-Jan specialises in financial regulation, with a focus on licensing and change of control procedures involving financial institutions. He has extensive experience dealing with EU regulators, following 8 years at The Nederlandsche Bank.

Heiko-Jan's expertise includes advising on (cross-border) license requirements, financial market access regulation, governance, prudential requirements and consolidated supervision. He is frequently involved in corporate restructurings and M&A transactions, including IPOs, and contributes to the implementation of EU financial regulatory law in Dutch national law.
