Clifford Chance advises Vesper Infrastructures on the acquisition of BioHold, proceeding with its focus on biomethane transactions

After advising on several recent transactions on biomethane, global law firm Clifford Chance advised Vesper Infrastructures in the acquisition of 50% of BioHold, a leading Italian company operating in the biogas and biomethane energy sector.

The deal will allow BioHold to accelerate its production expansion strategy and position itself as an Italian leader in the sector. This is one of the first transactions in Italy in the biomethane sector - a pivotal factor in the European energy transition process.

Clifford Chance advised Vesper Infrastructure with a multidisciplinary team led by partner Umberto Penco Salvi, and composed of senior associate Vittorio Novelli and associate Greta Bilotta. Tax and structuring aspects were followed by partner Carlo Galli and senior associate Andrea Sgrilli.
