Clifford Chance advises IJsselmeerwinT and Rebel on the senior financing of the 55MW nearshore wind farm IJsselmeerwinT

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised IJsselmeerwinT, together with its financial advisor Rebel, on the successful financing of the 10 turbines of IJsselmeerwinT B.V. ('IJsselmeerwinT'), part of the Windplanblauw wind farm. As part of the development of IJsselmeerwinT, a total of 24 turbines, divided into two rows, have been constructed in the Ijsselmeer, replacing 28 older turbines along the dike. ING Bank N.V. acted as sole financier to IJsselmeerwinT.

This transaction reflects Clifford Chance's longstanding commitment to renewable energy projects and builds on our role in the project financing of wind farm SwifterwinT op Land in 2020, also part of Windplanblauw. The Windplanblauw wind farm, fully operational in 2024, consists of 61 turbines located both on land and water. It plays a key role in Vattenfall’s ambition to enable fossil freedom and province of Flevoland's goal to become energy-neutral by 2030. Read more about the project here.
