Clifford Chance and Swiss Re Launch Global Virtual Internship: Risk and Resilience

International law firm Clifford Chance and Swiss Re, a world-leading company in insurance and reinsurance, today announced the launch of a new Global Virtual Internship – Risk and Resilience. This innovative internship is the first collaboration between Clifford Chance and Swiss Re, offering rare exposure to aspiring lawyers on a range of topical matters from the joint perspective of in-house and private practice legal teams.

The Risk and Resilience internship is designed to support future lawyers in developing practical skills and knowledge in key areas, including building a foundational understanding of insurance and reinsurance, drafting and written communication skills, and exploring the variety of insurance and reinsurance solutions available to cover climate-related risk.

This Risk and Resilience internship is the latest addition to the firm's industry-leading suite of Global Virtual Internships, which provides equal access to world-class resources and removes barriers to the profession. In total, Clifford Chance has designed eight internships, inclusive of 33 tasks and 60 hours of modular content on topics including Cyber Security, Sustainable Finance, Antitrust, and most recently SABRE.

Since launching in 2020, Clifford Chance's Global Virtual Internships have benefited over 125,000 aspiring lawyers, including many future trainees. The internships are designed to help future lawyers prepare for the realities of the role and are packed with specialised content developed by experts from across the firm's global network, including experts in Washington D.C., Milan, Düsseldorf, London, Warsaw, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Singapore.
