Clifford Chance elects Middle East construction specialist Inaamul Laher to the firm's partnership

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance today announces the promotion of Inaamul Laher to partner. Inaamul is part of a global cohort of 32 new partners drawn from all of the firm's market-leading practices and every region, demonstrating strong growth and investment in our future talent.

Inaamul leads our Middle East transactional Construction practice. He specialises in advising developers, financial investors, lenders and government entities on the construction, operation and related aspects of large-scale energy, infrastructure and real estate projects across the MENA region. He has been based in Abu Dhabi since 2016, prior to which he spent two years in the firm's International Construction Group in London.

Inaamul has acted on, and continues to be involved in, some of the highest profile power (thermal and renewable), water and wastewater, oil & gas, transport, social infrastructure and new communities projects in the region. Representative recent experience includes advising AMEA Power on its 500MW wind and solar projects in Egypt, Borouge on a US$6bn+ petrochemicals complex in Abu Dhabi, the sponsors on separate chemicals and utilities projects as part of major industrial hubs being developed in the UAE and in Oman, the developers of several Vision 2030 'giga-projects' in Saudi Arabia and the lenders on the 2GW Al Dhafra solar PV project in Abu Dhabi. He was also part of a cross-practice/jurisdiction team that advised TAQA on its investment into Masdar.
