Clifford Chance advises Europa Capital and White Star Real Estate on acquisition of D2 Logistics Park

Clifford Chance has advised a pan-European real estate investment manager Europa Capital in connection to its acquisition of D2 Logistics Park. The transaction was carried out in a partnership with White Star Real Estate, major Central and Eastern-European developer and asset manager.

The D2 Park is an industrial site located in Hrušky in the South Moravia region with direct access to the D2 highway which connects Brno and Bratislava. The acquired area spans around 170.000 square metres and will offer 57.000 square metres of warehouse spaces.

The project is expected to receive the BREEAM certification with "excellent" rating due to number of sustainability aspects, such as LED lights, high-quality isolation, infrared heating, underfloor heating and heat pumps. The building will also have a green facade and roof, as well as solar panels. In addition, the project will promote alternative modes of transport by placing bike racks, car-sharing spaces and charging stations for electric cars.

The construction works have already commenced, and the first tenant should start using the premises at the end of the year 2022. The park should operate in its full capacity at the beginning of 2023.
