Clifford Chance advises CDC group on its investment in Alfa Medical Group
Leading International law firm, Clifford Chance has advised CDC Group, the UK's development finance institution and impact investor on its US$100 million minority investment in Alfa Medical Group (AMG) alongside healthcare investor, Africa Platform Capital.
AMG is one of the leading and largest healthcare services providers in Egypt, comprising of over 140 medical labs, six radiology centres, a 170-bed hospital and two further hospitals under construction.
Commenting on the transaction, partner at Clifford Chance, Jennifer Mbaluto, said: "We are delighted to assist CDC Group on this impactful transaction. It will enable AMG to increase its medical services offering and expand its footprint across Africa with the establishment of the new Alfa Medical City."
