Clifford Chance advises SDK on the acquisition of two office properties from Gold Tree for more than EUR 100 million

Clifford Chance has advised Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung (SDK) on the acquisition of two office properties located in Ratingen and Leipzig for a total purchase price exceeding EUR 100 million. Both of the properties are being sold by Swiss investor Gold Tree. Closing took place at the end of March 2020.

SDK acquired the property in Leipzig as part of an asset deal. The property is located close to the main station and is let in the medium term. The Ratingen property was acquired as part of a share deal, is located in Ratingen Ost and is also let in the medium term.

This represented the fifth acquisition by SDK this year. The deal will increase the volume of SDK's portfolio to more than EUR 400 million. Clifford Chance provides SDK with ongoing legal advice on real estate transactions, including the recent purchase of the "Quattro" office building in Neu-Isenburg.

Clifford Chance berät SDK beim Erwerb zweier Büroimmobilien für mehr als 100 Millionen Euro von Gold Tree

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat die Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung (SDK) beim Erwerb zweier Büroimmobilien in Ratingen und Leipzig für insgesamt mehr als 100 Millionen Euro beraten. Verkäufer der beiden Immobilien ist der Schweizer Investor Gold Tree. Das Closing fand Ende März 2020 statt.

SDK erwarb das Objekt in Leipzig im Rahmen eines Asset Deals. Die Immobilie befindet sich in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs und ist mittelfristig vermietet. Das Objekt in Ratingen wurde mittels eines Share Deals übernommen, liegt im Teilmarkt Ratingen Ost und ist ebenfalls mittelfristig vermietet.

Für SDK ist dies bereits der fünfte Ankauf in diesem Jahr. Das Portfoliovolumen der SDK erhöht sich mit der Transaktion auf über 400 Millionen Euro. Clifford Chance begleitet die SDK regelmäßig rechtlich in Immobilientransaktionen, so auch zuletzt bei deren Erwerb des Bürogebäudes "Quattro" in Neu-Isenburg.
