Clifford Chance advises on Pernod Ricard's €1.5 billion dual tranche bond issue
Pernod Ricard, the No.2 worldwide producer of wines and spirits, has successfully completed the issue of euro denominated bonds for a total of €1.5 billion in two tranches of €750 million each.
The bonds have maturities of 5 and 10 years and bear interest at a rate of 1.125 % for the 5 year tranche, and 1.750 % per year for the 10 year tranche. The bonds were rated Baa1 by Moody's and BBB+ by S&P Global Ratings, both with a stable outlook.
The transaction was well received by the market, with a total orderbook above €5.5 billion for a total issue size of €1.5 billion. The bonds have been admitted to trading on the regulated market of Euronext in Paris since 6 April 2020.

Pernod Ricard, le n° 2 mondial des Vins et Spiritueux, a réalisé avec succès une émission obligataire libellée en euro pour un montant de 1,5 milliard d’euros en deux tranches de 750 millions d'euros chacune.
Les obligations ont une maturité de 5 ans et de 10 ans et portent intérêt au taux de 1,125 % l’an pour la tranche de 5 ans et 1,750 % l’an pour la tranche de 10 ans. Les obligations ont été notées Baa1 par Moody's et BBB+ par S&P Global Ratings, tous les deux avec une perspective stable.
L'opération a rencontré un franc succès avec un carnet d’ordres supérieur à 5,5 milliards d’euros pour une taille totale d’émission de 1,5 milliard d’euros. Les obligations sont admises aux négociations sur le marché réglementé d'Euronext Paris depuis le 6 avril 2020.
