Belgian Immobel enters German market: Clifford Chance advises Immobel on acquisition of Europa-Allee Wohnen gsp GmbH

International law firm Clifford Chance has advised leading Belgian real estate developer Immobel on its entry into the German market: Immobel, which is listed on the Belgian stock exchange, has acquired 89.9% in Europa-Allee Wohnen gsp GmbH, a subsidiary of Berlin-based gsp Städtebau GmbH.

The company is currently developing the most recent residential high-rise buildings of the Main metropolis in Frankfurt's district Europaviertel. With a living space of around 15,150 square meters, the 27-storey residential tower "Eden" offers space for 263 residential units.

In addition to Belgium, Immobel is currently active in Luxembourg, Spain, France and Poland. Founded in 1863, the company now has a market capitalization of more than EUR 500 million and a portfolio of more than 800,000 square metres.

gsp Städtebau is one of the leading project development companies in Berlin and develops properties in the residential, hotel, office and public building sectors.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat den führenden belgischen Immobilienentwickler Immobel bei seinem Markteintritt in Deutschland beraten: Das in Belgien börsennotierte Unternehmen übernimmt 89,9% an der Europa-Allee Wohnen gsp GmbH, einer Tochtergesellschaft der Berliner gsp Städtebau GmbH.

Die Gesellschaft entwickelt im Frankfurter Europaviertel das bis dato jüngste Wohnhochhaus der Mainmetropole. Der 27-stöckige Wohnturm "Eden" bietet mit einer Wohnfläche von rund 15.150 Quadratmetern Platz für 263 Wohneinheiten.

Immobel ist bislang neben Belgien in Luxemburg, Spanien, Frankreich und Polen aktiv. Gegründet 1863 verfügt das Unternehmen heute über eine Marktkapitalisierung von über 500 Millionen Euro und ein Portfolio mit mehr als 800.000 Quadratmetern.
