Clifford Chance advises CDC Group on its US$180m equity investment in Liquid Telecom

International law firm Clifford Chance is advising CDC Group, the UK's development finance institution, on its proposed US$180 million equity investment in Liquid Telecom, the largest independent fibre and cloud computing provider in Africa.

The transaction will be CDC's first direct investment in an African telecoms company in over twenty years and one of the largest equity investments CDC has made since its establishment in 1948. As the demand for data in the continent continues to grow rapidly, CDC's investment is set to help improve digital infrastructure and access to quality internet in Africa.
