Clifford Chance reappoints David Brinton and Richard Catalano to head its Americas Corporate and Tax practices

Clifford Chance today announced that David Brinton and Richard Catalano have been reappointed as leaders of the Firm's Americas Corporate and Tax, Pensions & Employment ("TPE") practices, respectively.

Brinton is a leading corporate and securities lawyer who is consistently recognized for his M&A and transactional work, including in Latin America. The Corporate practice includes a team of M&A lawyers who advise large US companies on high-end domestic and cross-border transactions, a Funds & Investment Management practice that was named North American Law Firm of the Year by Private Equity Real Estate, and a multiple award-winning US Insurance team.

Catalano is one of the most respected tax lawyers in the US, achieving top rankings for his tax and REIT work. He and his tax team routinely play a pivotal role in some of the Firm's most high-profile deals. The TPE practice also advises on complex employment matters, including in the M&A context, and on ERISA issues, such as for alternative investment funds, financial institutions, fund sponsors, private equity funds and hedge funds.
