Clifford Chance advises BBVA on investment in Atom Bank's GBP 149m capital raising
International law firm Clifford Chance advised Spanish Bank BBVA on its GBP 85.4 million investment in Britain's Atom Bank. The investment, which is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval, is part of a GBP 149 million capital raise undertaken by Atom Bank. Once complete, BBVA's stake in the mobile-focused challenger bank will increase to around 39%.
This investment follows two previous rounds of funding by BBVA in Atom which Clifford Chance also advised on. Further information is available in BBVA's announcement.
