Clifford Chance advises Frasers Hospitality on SG$250 million investment in Tokyo's Ginza district
Leading international law firm Clifford Chance advised Frasers Hospitality, a member of Frasers Property Group, on its SG$250 million investment to develop a new serviced residence in Tokyo's Ginza district. The property will be launched under the Group’s millennial-focused hotel residence brand Capri by Fraser. It is expected to open around 2020.
In 2016, the Firm had also advised Frasers Hospitality on its appointment as the manager of another serviced residence in Tokyo’s Akasaka district under the Group’s Fraser Suites brand, which is also expected to open around 2020.
Partner Leng-Fong Lai led on the deal and said, "We were delighted to assist Frasers Hospitality with another strategic investment into Tokyo's buoyant hotel market. We expect more growth in this sector with the increasing number of visitors to Japan and the run up to the 2020 Olympics."
Leng-Fong was supported by partner Eiichi Kanda, senior associate Yoshiaki Shimizu and associate Yosuke Nomura.
