Clifford Chance to Sponsor SFIG's Inaugural Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium 2017

Clifford Chance announced today that it is a Silver Sponsor of the Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium 2017 (the "Symposium"), hosted by the Structured Finance Industry Group ("SFIG"). The Symposium will be the first event of its kind exploring the intersection of private capital and government sponsored entities in the residential mortgage market, and will be held in New York City on November 7 - 8, 2017.

The event is expected to draw policy makers, regulators, investors, issuers, and service providers from the mortgage finance market. The event will focus on important and timely topics including; single family rental properties, non-performing & re-performing loans, mortgage servicing rights, credit risk transfer transactions, and private label securitizations, as well as updating work on RMBS 3.0 standardization and best practices.

"Clifford Chance has long been honored to partner with SFIG," said Lee Askenazi, a partner in the Firm's renowned Structured Finance Group. "The Symposium continues that tradition at the cutting-edge of our industry in focusing on risk and, in particular, on the challenges and opportunities of technology as a significant driver across the business, legal and regulatory landscapes." Askenazi will serve as the moderator at the November 7 session on Re-Performing Loans and Non-Performing Loans: Comparison of Acquisition Platforms, Operating Models, Funding Strategies and Regulatory Concern.
