Clifford Chance partners with IFLR and MIP in Sponsoring FinTech NYC – Navigating Legal Risk and Regulation

Clifford Chance is proud to announce its sponsorship of "FinTech NYC – Navigating Legal Risk and Regulation". The event is organized by International Financial Law Review ("IFLR"), in collaboration with Managing Intellectual Property ("MIP"), and will take place on September 27, 2017 at the Sofitel Hotel in New York.

Members of Clifford Chance's multidisciplinary Fintech group will join an elite group of industry players from the legal and financial fields, along with technologists, regulators, investors and company founders. The group will participate in dynamic discussions on key legal trends, including the OCC Charter on Fintech, the future of RegTech & blockchain, state-by-state licensing regimes, the protection of intellectual property and funding options for start-ups.

Megan Gordon, a Washington, DC-based partner in the Firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, will present at a focus session entitled, Fintech Anti-Money Laundering Challenges. Megan will explore the effect of Fintech on the AML compliance landscape; discuss Fintech AML requirements; and present best practices for assessing and managing AML risks, as well as adapting AML programs to a changing industry.
